Press Release - Atlantis Healthcare Australia wins PRIME Customer Focus Award.

This is the second PRIME Award (Pharmaceutical Research Innovation and Marketing Awards) win for Atlantis Healthcare Australia in the Customer Focus category.

The PRIME Customer Focus award highlights the importance of customer focus within marketing, where a particular patient initiative has made a difference to that group and to the performance of that product.  Developed for a leading pharmaceutical company in Australia, Atlantis Healthcare has designed a support programme especially for women with breast cancer. This support programme has been running in Australia since 2007, and was successfully launched in New Zealand last year. 

The rationale behind the support programme is based on the insight that patients typically have the support of a number of healthcare professionals during the early stages of treatment. However, in the phases following, there seems to be a lot less involvement, which can often leave patients feeling ‘disconnected’.

The patient support programme created for breast cancer patients addresses this treatment ‘gap’ by providing patients with emotional and practical support to give ongoing reassurance and education. It covers issues such as the importance of regular therapy and dealing with
side effects.

The aim of the programme is to optimise health outcomes through personalised support. This empowers patients to better understand their condition and successfully manage their long-term daily drug regimen. Research has shown this helps prevent relapse and extend survival.
